Quick Tips for Bettering Your Self-Confidence
Confidence is the key to living life to it's fullest and to achieving your goals. So how do we build it? One step at a time, folks. Here are some tips that can help you to raise your confidence levels so that you fulfill your potential.
1. Exercise at Least Twice a Week for One Hour Each Session
You won't believe how much your self-confidence will improve with a little exercise. You will look better and feel better. Regular exercise improves your energy levels and the endorphins that you will get a good workout can last the entire day. Try this for a month and see how you feel, we think that you will be pleasantly surprised.
2. Listen to Music that Makes you Feel Powerful When you Have your Morning Coffee
Music has nostalgic value as well as empowerment properties. The right tune can make you feel young and powerful. It gets you going and as you sing along all day inside you will find that you can get more work done. Make sure that every morning you listen to something that makes you feel strong and you WILL BE strong the rest of the day.
3. Dress Sharper than Usual Some Days
Look sharp and you will be sharp. Sometimes the clothes really do make the man(or woman). If you take a little extra time on your appearance then you will notice it in the mirror and it will reflect in your actions(pun 100% intended there). So take a little extra time to get ready. Iron that shirt and pick something that doesn't look thrown together or sloppy. Dress for success.
4. Keep a Notebook Marking Only Times you Have Tried and Succeeded
Get yourself a notebook and make some one or two sentence notes inside it for times when you have tried something radical and succeeded. As you do more and more take notes of it. This way when you feel down you have something physical, something tangible, to chronicle all of those times when you took a chance and you were successful. This will empower you to do the same time and time again or simply give you a morale boost when you think that you are a failure. You are not and this notebook is the proof of that.
5. Carry a Photo or Item that Reminds You of Your Best Aspects for Luck
Carry an old photo of someone you admire or of yourself from a happy and powerful time in life. You can also simply carry an item for 'good luck' that you associate with a lucky time in the past. Carry it with you always and when you feel down you will have a 'talisman' of sorts to remind you that you can and WILL be lucky if you let yourself. Everyone needs a reminder sometimes so put a little luck in your pocket.
6. Keep Things in Perspective
'If a man dwells on the past, then he robs the present. But if a man ignores the past, he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past.'--Master Po, 'Kung Fu' series.
Don't let the past get you down. While sometimes rough, the past serves as roots that can help us avoid future mistakes. Don't let it distract you from looking too hard at it. Accept that sometimes life makes lessons difficult so that we will remember them and use what we have learned in the future. Don't try to walk while looking backwards the whole time or you will fall.
We hope that these tips will help you to better realize your self-confidence. Build it and use it. Confidence is important and as yours grows so will your power and effectiveness in work and your personal life. Now go out there and get your piece of the pie. You are confident and you will take what is yours!
