HRH Prince Henry of Wales - or As We Know Him, Prince Harry
Prince Harry is an individual of blue blood. Born as the younger son of the Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales, he lived an eventful life, what with his inclusion in military services and his deputation to Afghanistan in 2007/8 and in 2012/13.
He was also involved in philanthropic activities like supporting disadvantaged young people, promoting the welfare of personnel who are serving or have served the Armed Forces. He also dealt with conservation issues. Prince Harry was also an avid sportsperson and participated in rugby union and polo, as and when he got the time from his busy life.
Early Life and Education
Born as Prince Henry of Wales on 15 September 1984, he is commonly known as Prince Harry. He was the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Lady Diana, the Princess of Wales. In terms of education, Prince Harry attended the same schools as his brother. Starting at Mrs. Jane Mynors’ nursery school from September 1987, where he became involved in active dramatics and participated in school plays, he then joined the Pre-Prep Wetherby School.
Prince Harry then joined his brother William in Ludgrove School in Berkshire, in September 1992. In September 1998, Prince Harry started at Eton College, where his father and most of the British Elite had studied. Here, he became the House Captain of Games and also participated in inter-school rugby, cricket and polo tournaments.
Career
Prince Harry graduated from Eton College in June 2003, with A level results, which qualified him for a career in the Army. After serving the Armed Forces for ten long years, he resigned from there on June 2003, after undertaking two operational tours to Afghanistan, qualifying as an Apache Aircraft Commander and spearheading the Invictus Games. Prince Harry’s official title is His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales. On 4 June 2015, Prince Harry took was conferred with the title KCVO i.e. Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, by Her Majesty the Queen.
Heights
Prince Harry in his lifetime achieved several highs in his career. When he graduated from Eton College with A levels to qualify for the Armed Forces, he was on a high because working for the Armed Forces was one of his long-cherished ambitions. In June 2015, when he resigned from the Armed Forces, after continuously serving them for ten years, he achieved another high in his career. When Prince Harry became a patron of a number of charitable activities like supporting disadvantaged children and promoting the welfare of the present and the past personnel of the Armed Forces, he experienced a significant high in his career.
Personal Life
Prince Harry was born on 15 September 1984 as the youngest son of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana. He was born at 4:20 p m at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, Central London. Like his brother the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry was also a keen sportsperson and enjoyed watching and participating in rugby union and polo games whenever his schedule permitted him.
