5 Reasons Why You are Afraid of Success
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” –Winston Churchill
Churchill is correct in his statement. Success doesn’t come from one simple act, it comes from multiple acts. Sometimes, these actions will leave you drained or filled with enthusiasm. However, if you fail, you shouldn’t lose hope because every action, good or bad, will contribute to your success.
Unfortunately, you may become discouraged and give up when you lose, but you shouldn’t. There are plenty of reasons why you lost, and some aren’t your fault.
Because you think it’s your fault, you start spiraling downhill. You start making excuses for your lack of doing something, which ultimately leaves you stuck in a rut. On the other hand, you are afraid of being successful. Because of this, you never try. Again, you start making excuses for your behavior.
Here are a few reasons why you are afraid of success.
Success takes you out of Your Comfort zone
With success, comes the need for transformation. You don’t like change and that’s fine, but if you want to succeed, you have to be willing to do the necessary steps.
Change is frightening, especially when you’re not sure of the outcome. Success can really impact your life in more ways than one. You may have to leave your family and travel to an unfamiliar place. Or you may have to do something you never thought you would.
If success asks you to compromise your morality, then you shouldn’t do it. On the other hand, if there is something you want to do in life and it’s going to require courage, then you should think about that.
Success always asks for courage. Staying in comfort and complacency is not courage, it is cowardice. You’re not going to get to your next level of success if you don’t take risks.
You want to be Successful, but You believe your Loved ones won’t Approve
You want to make changes in your life and the world, but you’re focused on what other people think. Unfortunately, worrying about what others think, whether it’s family, friends, or enemies, is not going to contribute to your success. It is going to help you fail.
If you want to fail, that’s fine, but don’t blame it on others. Your failure will be your fault. If your mother, husband, wife, father, sister, or brother don’t agree with your actions, then okay. It’s not their life, it’s yours.
If you don’t make the change to be successful when you know you should, you’re going to live a regretful life. Do you want that? Do you want to be filled with regret or do you want to take the risk?
Go and be successful, if the world disapproves, don’t worry about it. You made the right decision.
You believe you won’t be Successful, so You don’t try to be
The way you think of yourself is crucial to your life and success. If you don’t think you’re going to be successful, then you won’t. This is a hard pill to swallow, but it is the truth.
You have to convince yourself that you are already successful before you take the first step to success. You think not acting upon your desires is helping you, but it’s hurting you. Success is everywhere and in everything, you have to believe it. Stop telling yourself you can’t and stop acting as though you can’t. You can and you will.
Do not let your dreams die because if you do, you will die, too. You don’t want this. Take the first step today and go after your goals.

Do you remember the last time you took a risk and failed?
It didn’t feel good, but guess what? The failure was a part of success. The failure should’ve made you realize the journey is hard, but worth it. Instead, you became afraid and vowed never to try again.
Why?
One failed moment doesn’t equal a failed life. You need to forgive yourself for what you couldn’t or wouldn’t do and move on. Yesterday is history and tomorrow isn’t promised. All you have is today and right now.
Today, you need to step into greatness. Today, you need to take charge of your life. Today, you need to start your journey to success.
You’re not ready for Success
Success is something you can never be fully prepared for, but there a few things you can do to get yourself mentally ready. You have to start believing and working towards your desired goals.
Not being ready for success means you can’t handle failure, you don’t like when people are talking negatively about you, and you don’t have any self-knowledge.
How can you be successful when you don’t know who you are?
Take some time to write down your strengths and weaknesses. If you get stuck, ask your friends and family for help. Do this and you can guarantee you’re on your way to success.
