Chuck Baldwin is an American author, writer, host of a radio talk show, pastor, and also a noted politician. He was the presidential candidate for Constitution Party in the 2008 elections. He was the founder of Crossroad Baptist Church of Florida. Baldwin has his own talk-show, Chuck Baldwin Live. He has authored a number of literary works, including columns, articles and books.
Childhood
Chuck was born on 3rd May 1952 in La Porte, Indiana, United States to Edwin J. ‘Ed’ Baldwin, and Sarah L. Baldwin. He completed his graduation from La Porte High School in 1971, and studied at the Midwestern Baptist College, Michigan for two years. Baldwin has a bachelor's and masters' degree in 'theology' from the Christian Bible College, North Carolina. He has two honorary degrees in 'doctor of divinity' from Christian Bible College and Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida.
Early Career
Baldwin established Crossroad Baptist Church in 1975 in Pensacola, Florida. Several politicians visit the church. In 1994, Baldwin launched a radio talk show, Church Baldwin Live. The talk show discussed politics and a number of current events from a conservative Christian point of view.
Highlights
In 2004, Chuck received vice president nomination for the Constitution Party, and ran with Michael Peroutka, the presidential nominee. In 2008, he won the presidential nomination for the party, with Darrell Castle running as his vice-presidential mate. In 2011, he was selected as the running mate of Bob Fanning during the Republican Montana gubernatorial elections. Baldwin withdrew his lieutenant governorship candidacy in 2012. In 2012, he was nominated by the Reform Party as its candidate for presidential elections, with Andre Barnett as their national candidate. He received more than 5000 votes from the total Kansas popular vote.
Baldwin is the author of many books, including ‘Subjects Seldom Spoken On’, and ‘This Is The Life’, in addition to a number of booklets, such as ‘Let’s Look at Legalism’ and ‘The Freedom Documents’. Chuck also writes numerous columns and articles for websites, news magazines, newspapers etc.
Personal Life
Baldwin is married to Connie Kay Cole. The couple has been married for more than 40 years now. They have three children and nine grandchildren.
