Currently, he contributes to Fox News Channel for political perspectives. He is working as on-call host for some of the shows on the channel, including Fox and Friends.
Scott was born on 12th September 1959 in Kittery, Maine, United States to English immigrants Judith Ann and Claude Bruce Brown. His parents got divorced when Scott was just one year old. Brown shifted to Wakefield with his mother. Brown used to visit his father in Newburyport, where was the city councilor. His father largely assisted him in his political campaigns for the state office.
During his Boston College Law School days, he took up part-time modeling to finance his studies. He modeled for clients like Jordache Jeans and Marshall’s Department Store. In 1978, Brown took ROTC classes at Northwestern University, and joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Brown became the property assessor for Wrentham, Massachusetts in 1992. In 1994, he joined the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He served for 35 years in the Army and retired in 2014. Fostering an interest in politics, he got elected to the Wrentham Board of Selectmen in 1995.
In 1998, Scott Brown was elected to the House of Representatives from Massachusetts. He represented the Ninth Norfolk District for three terms. In 2004, he won in a special electionto the Massachusetts State Senate. He was re-elected later in 2004, 2006 and 2008. In 2009, he won the elections for the Massachusetts US Senate. Brown was the US Senator for Massachusetts till 2013.
Brown tried his hand at media and joined the Fox News Channel as an on-air contributor. He joined Nixon Peabody for handling commercial real estate and financial services industries. In 2013, Global Digital Solutions hired him on to its advisory board. He ran for re-election in 2014, but was defeated by Jeanne Shaheen.
Brown is married to Gail Huff, a news reporter with WCVB Boston TV Channel. They have two daughters. The elder daughter, Ayla was a former semi-finalist in the American Idol.
