Felix started building his career on YouTube in 2011. He initially earned his bread and butter by selling hot dogs while creating video games simultaneously. PewDiePie was originally registered as PewDie where Pew meant the sound of lasers and die of course meant death. However, Felix forgot the password and hence he registered as PewDiePie again with YouTube. PewDiePie witnessed 60,000 subscribers by December 2011.
