Amber Rose Success Story

Childhood

Rose was born to Michael Levonchuck and Dorothy Rose in Pennsylvania in the United States on 21 October, 1983. She was raised by a single mother. Rose turned to dancing as a means to survive. She did everything possible to survive during her early teens. She has a brother named Antonio Hewlett.

Early career

Rose started working as a stripper to support herself and her mother financially. During her days as an exotic dancer, she was spotted by a casting agent who cast her in a music video. She made cameos in music videos such as Nicki Minaj’s “Massive Attack”, Young Jeez’s “Vacation” and Wiz Khalifa’s  “No sleep” to name a few.

Career

Rose was later signed by Ford Models from 2009 until 2010. In 2010 Rose appeared in a reality show “Running Russell Simmons” and also was the guest judge of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the third season. She judged the second season of “Master of the Mix” in 2011. She became the face of “Smirnoff” amd appeared in the company’s television commercials and billboards for the new flavors Whipped Cream and Fluffed Marshmallow. 

Career highlights

Rose released her debut single “Fame” featuring Wiz Khalifa followed by second single “Loaded” in 2012. She appeared in the album “O.N.I.F.C” by Wiz Khalifa along with Tuki Carter and Pharell Williams. Rose opened a clothing line called “Rose & Ono” along with her friend Priscilla Ono in 2012. Rose guest starred in “Wild ‘N Out” on MTV2 and also performed as MaryWanna in the film “School Dance” in 2014.

 Rose partnered Simon & Schuster for the release of the book “How to be a Bad Bitch” in which she offers advices on finances, love, fashion and career.

Reputation

Rose wore an outfit designer with derogatory terms used for women written on them at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2015. Rose has had her share of troubles facing her sexuality. She worked as a stripper at the age of 15. She clarified during an interview that it was a survival tactic and was willing to work as stripper to support her mother financially.

Personal Life

Rose started dating Kanye West from 2008. They later parted ways in 2010. She then started dating rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2011. The couple got engaged in 2012 and married in 2013. Rose gave birth to Wiz Khalifa’s son in the same year. In 2014 they parted and Rose filed a divorce on September 22, 2014. In 2015 she started dating rapper Machine Gun Kelly. She confirmed the news during an interview.
