Gautama Buddha was born as Siddhartha Gautama in North-eastern India and is considered by the world as the Enlightened One which is again, a translation of the world 'Buddha'. The primary figure of the religion called Buddhism is Gautama and the entire account of his life has been summarised by the Buddhists. His teachings were passed down generations through artefacts, anecdotes, and oral socialization. Buddhism, which is often regarded as the science of mind rather than a mere religion, is based on the realisations of Buddha.
"You can only lose what you cling "
"Learn to let go That is the key to happiness "
"Your work is discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it "
"Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind"
"Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace"
"Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without"
"To Understand everything is to forgive everything"
"You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger"
"Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts"
"The mind is everything. What you think you become"
Buddha had royal lineage, and a prophecy had claimed he would either grow up to be a very powerful ruler or a noble preacher. His father, who was an oligarch, wanted him to be the former and made sure he had little exposure to the outside world. When finally young Gautama saw the world and its distress, he decided to leave the comfort of his royal life and become a preacher of the ideals of spiritually connected living. Today, Gautama Buddha quotes are the path of light for millions of people.
