If you happen to answer ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, you have been entangled by the unseen hydra-headed monster named Negativity. With the present day life which is full of challenges and triumphs, of ups and downs, it is likely to fall into prey of Negativity. Negativity, the proclamation of criticism or pessimism about something generates depressing and demoralizing thoughts within us. These negative thoughts radiates a negative energy around us.
Negative aura created from this negative energy stops us from thinking and walking towards the path of positivity. Over the time, this can lead to low self-esteem, which can affect the quality of one’s life in many different ways. The natural human tendency tends to follow the path of negativity since positive thinking requires some effort, whereas, negative thinking comes easily and often uninvited.
A sound body, mental peace and a contented soul is an abode of a balanced, happy and healthy life. Negativity is a disease, which silently creeps inside us and breaks us mentally and emotionally. Our life, the most precious gift given by God, is just a reflection of what we think. If our thoughts are not positive we will look at our surrounding and our entire life with the glasses of negativity.
It is indeed impossible to live a positive life with a negative mind. Our mind, at times does not judge or examine thoughts and opinions before accepting them. Removing negativity from our inner-self needs persistent inner work, your time and energy. But the good news is persistent inner work, putting time and energy to pursue positive thinking can actually eradicate negativity from its roots.
Meditation and Yoga are the paths to self-enlightenment. It is only with self-knowledge that you can be the best version of yourself. When you meditate, you become aware of the quantitative diversity of your thoughts. Practicing yoga helps you to release the unwanted negativity out of your mind and gives you mental solace and a tranquil mind.
During meditation, you submit your thoughts with faith and let go of the need to make sense of what goes on in your mind. This faith develops in your life as well. Practicing Yoga on a regular basis for at least 15 minutes can increase your mental awareness and neutralize stress.
We are nothing but a reflection of our surrounding. Surround yourself with positive and good energy. Good vibes translates into good moods and better health all around. So, surround yourself with positive people who love you and believe in you. You are nothing but the average of the people you are surrounded with.
All the talks we do (positive or negative) with our friends and family, remains in our subconscious mind. Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and harbor with repetition becomes actuality. So make sure, to plant only positive thoughts in your mind by surrounding yourself with positive and motivating people.
3. Introspect as well as Retrospect
If you get the right inside, the outside will fall into place. Watch your mind and you will be able to find your defects and root cause of your negativity. Introspect to examine your own thoughts and feelings. Similarly, learn from your past events and mistakes to understand what went wrong. Aristotle rightly said, “Knowing yourself is beginning of wisdom”. Finding the fundamental cause of your mistakes and failures, learn from it and make better decisions in future. Give some time to understand from where your negative thoughts originated and what influenced this thought in your life.
Limitations lives only in our minds, but if we use our inner power, our possibilities turns limitless. The inner belief we have in ourselves, guides our journey towards enlightenment. Knowing our own powers helps us to stay away from negativity. The biggest problem that we fall into prey of negativity is that we are unaware of our own potential and true power. Learn to know the power of your words, your silence, your mind, your body language and your body itself. When we doubt our power, we give power to our doubt.
