A sound mind and a healthy body are what we need to feel happy. There should be a perfect synchronization of both the mind  and body to keep ourselves healthy. There are a lot of ways to feel better all day. There are these small tips suggested by David Rakel which help us to stay fit throughout the day.

Get Exposed to Sunlight

If you are a person who hesitate to come out of your house or your working hours starts early in the morning, take some time to get exposed to the sunlight. Your body  produces vitamin D with the help of the sun. There is no other known source of vitamin D. This is also beneficial to your brain because the sunlight helps it to produce serotonin, which makes  you feel happy.

Make sure that you exercise in the sunlight because it helps you to stay healthy naturally. Another reason is that physical exercises work better than medicines for treating anxiety and depression.

Get Sound Sleep

During the night, we sleep because our body produces a hormone called melatonin. The production of this hormone depends on how much serotonin our body has. Moreover, make sure that you don't sweat during a sleep. It is an indication that your room is hot. Reduce the temperature of the room to help your body to produce melatonin.

Turn off the lights and make the room darker for a better production of melatonin. These things will assist you to have a sound sleep.

Say NO to Junk Food

Stay healthy by saying YES to healthy food and NO to junk food. Add a lot of leafy, multigrain food to energize your body. Eat as many vegetables and fruits as you can. Natural food increases your life span. Broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower save us from cancer. These vegetables have chemicals which help our body to throw out toxic substances from our body. Don't take food which has high sugar content. Concentrate on increasing your energy, not calories.

Declutter your Mind

Just the way you hate to live in an untidy house or room, avoid living with an untidy mind. Don't live in the past. It is something over which we have little control. Concentrate on what you can do in the future. Shut your door against evil things. It will help to cleanse your mind and thoughts. According to me, this is  perhaps the best way to have a brighter smile on your face.

Have a Positive Approach

Happiness and worries are like two sides of the same coin. Understand that fact well. Whenever your mind is in need of a recharge, just making your mind understand that this is not the end of it would help you to stay happy. Have a positive approach to everything.
