Medidata Solutions, a company founded in 1999, is headquartered in United States with branch offices across the world. It was the first company to introduce the first thin client and web based system independent of browser and operating system. In 2001, the Medidata Rave was introduced to cater to the pharmaceutical and medical customers. In 2007, Rave product was integrated to Fast Track’s Trail Space Designer in order to better serve the medical community. Then in 2008, the company acquired Fast Track Systems and added the Medidata designer tool, Medidata grants manager for site budgeting and benchmarking and Medidata CRO contractor for planning and managing CRO contracts. The year 2013 saw the introduction of Medidata patient cloud, which was used for the capture, and management of patient related data.
