The National Beverage Corp was started by Nick Caporella in 1985 as a measure to ward off acquisition efforts of Victor Posner of the cable and telecommunications systems installer company, Burnup & Sims Inc. through stick trading. As Nick now had an additional company he acquired Shasta Beverages from the Sara Lee Corporation in the same year for around USD40 m to give business to National Beverage Corp.
Since 1985, Nick has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Beverage Corp. From 1985 to 2002, Nick served as the President of National Beverage Corp.
Since January of 1992 Nick has been providing his services through the Corporate Management Advisors (CMA), Inc., a management company owned by him. From 1976 to 1994 Nick also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Burnup & Sims Inc.
Since 1979 to 1994 Nick was also the Chairman of the Board of Burnup & Sims Inc.
