Jessica Alba Story
Jessica Alba may not be a name you hear quite often in your neighborhood, but if you are a fan of Good Luck Chuck, Into the Blue, Fantastic Four, and Sin City, then you must have seen her on the screen. And if you have not watched any of these movies, what about the 13-year-old girl you saw appearing quite often in The Secret World of Alex Mack and Camp Nowhere? That same person – the kid – is Jessica Alba, now grown into one of the most popular female actresses in the United States of America. Even more, she is famous for the TV series Dark Angel.
She was born in 1981 to Mark David Alba and Catherine Louisa. She has one younger brother called Joshua, and her mother is of French ascent. Her father’s career forced the family to move out of California. Alba settled in Del Rio, Texas for some time, and then came back and settled in Claremont in California. She came back to California at the age of 9. If asked about her family today, she says they were so conservative. She identifies herself as a liberal woman, and she believes that she is quite a stronger feminist.
But life is not always easy for everyone, particularly when he or she is just little children growing up in a strange world. And this couldn’t be truer with Jessica Alba. Her early days were marked with a series of unexpected sicknesses. Alba suffered from partially collapsed lungs two times. She often suffered from pneumonia, too. Worse, she suffered from ruptured appendix and cyst. This made her less of a person because she was always isolated from other children in school.
Despite the challenges, Jessica did her best in school and graduated from Claremont High School when she was 16. Then, she attended the Atlantic Theater Company. Theaters are often associated to acting, pretty much a solid enough reason to conclude that Alba studied acting in the company and she made it.
Alba always wanted to become an actor since the age of 5. But she made her first appearance on television at the age of 13. She has appeared in many movies, and we have already highlighted a number of the best examples above.
