Childhood
Ashton Kutcher was born on February 9, 1978 in Cedar Rapids in Iowa in US. His mother , Diane had German, Irish and Czech ancestry and was an employee with Procter and Gamble. His father, Larry M. Kutcher was a factory worker of Czech descent. He was a student in the Clear Creek Amana High School in Iowa.
During his high school years, he realized his passion for acting. At the age of 16, Ashton witnessed the unfortunate event of his parents’ divorce. In 1996, Ashton enrolled in the University of Iowa, planning to major in Biochemical Engineering, which he later dropped owing to his modeling commitments.
Early Career
During his study in University of Iowa, Kutcher was spotted by model scout at a bar. This meeting opened the modeling gates for Kutcher. He participated in the ‘Fresh Faces of Iowa’ modeling competition following this meeting.
He won the competition and as award, he got the chance to visit International Modeling and Talent Association in New York. In 1998, he appeared in commercial for giants like Calvin Klein. His modeling assignments took him to Paris and Milan at the same time.
Career
Soon after his successful modeling debut, Kutcher moved to Los Angeles. He auditioned for the television series The ‘70s Show which ran from 1998 to 2006. He starred in several comedy films like Just Married in 2003, Guess Who in 2005. The 2004 psychological drama, The Butterfly Effect was a box office success for Kutcher.
In 2010, he produced and acted in action comedy called Killers, in which he played the role of a hitman. In 2011, he replaced Charlie Sheen in the television series called Two and a Half Men.
Career Highlights
Kutcher’s one year contract for the television show Two and a Half Men is reported valued at around $20 million. His debut as the character of Walden Smith in the show ‘Nice To Meet You, Walden Smith’ earned him $750,000 for an episode.
Apart from his television and film successes, Kutcher has investment in an Italian restaurant called Dolce. He has also invested in a Japanese themed restaurant having branches in Atlanta, New York City and Los Angeles.
Personal Life
Ashton Kutcher married the famous model and actress Demi Moore on September 24, 2005. The marriage did not last long with Kutcher filing for divorce in 2011. The actor began dating Mila Kunis in 2012 finally tying the knot in 2015. Their child was born on October 2014.

What Happens in Vegas, No Strings Attached, A Lot Like Love etc are some of his highly celebrated romantic movies for which he received prestigious awards.
