Alex Pettyfer Success Story

Childhood

Alex Pettyfer was born on April 10, 1990 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire to Richard Pettyfer and Lee Ireland. His father was an actor and his mother an interior decorator. Pettyfer was raised in Slough, Berkshire. His parents divorced and his mother re-married. He has a younger half-brother, James Ireland from his mother's remarriage.

Pettyfer studied at The Mall School, Twickenham and the Lambrook Haileybury School, Berkshire. He attended Millfield School in Street, a boarding school in Somerset. Pettyfer did his GCSE from Shiplake College, Oxfordshire. He enrolled in Sylvia Young Theatre School, London.

Pettyfer’s love for the theatre and acting can be traced back to his school days. He performed in several school plays. He acted as ‘Willy Wonka’, produced by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Pettyfer’s association with the camera and the glamour world started at a very young age. He featured in advertisements of yoghurt brands and modelled for Gap.

Early Career

Pettyfer embarked upon his career in the world of films and fashion in his teenage. Pettyfer debuted as an actor in Tom Brown’s ‘Schooldays’, a television film. He was cast in the lead role and was critically acclaimed for his acting skills.

Pettyfer made his foray in the film world with his role as “Alex Rider” in the film, ‘Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker’ (2006). He tasted his first success when he was selected for two awards for his role; ‘Young Artist Award’ and ‘Empire Award’.

Pettyfer has experimented in different genres. While he played the school boy, Freddie Kingsley in ‘Wild Child’, Pettyfer was cast as the ‘cruel ringleader’ in ‘Tormented’, a horror-comedy.

Heights

Pettyfer went from success to success as he bagged prestigious projects. He played the protagonist in ‘I Am Number Four’, in 2011. Steven Speilberg was the Executive Producer.

A year later, Pettyfer acted in ‘Beastly’ and in the film, ‘Magic Mike’. Pettyfer dappled in romantic dramas with the film ‘Endless Love’. Pettyfer was a model for the fashion label ‘Burberry’.

Personal Life

Alex Pettyfer has dated Emma Roberts who starred in the film ‘Wild Child’ with him. He dated Dianna Agron for a year. Pettyfer got engaged to Riley Keough. She was a part of the cast for the film ‘Magic Mike’. Pettyfer has a fetish for tattoos and has seven tattoos on his physique.

Recognitions

Pettyfer was selected for his outstanding performance in the film, ‘Stormbreaker’ for two awards; the “Young Artist awards” and the “Empire Award”.

Pettyfer was rated 35^th in the ‘Top 50 Most Eligible Bachelors’ list by Company, a women’s magazine in Britain. He featured in the 21^st position among the ‘sexiest men on the planet’ by the British magazine, Glamour.
