Habits That Will Help You Become More Successful

That is why I have compiled these seven habits of highly successful people that will help you to become more successful yourself.

1. Keep A Diary

Keep A Diary

Writing in your diary at night can help put the day behind you and give you closure. Your diary can also be used to pen down useful information and tidbits you've learned – writing them down will often help commit them to memory. Keep it short, sweet and as objective as possible.

2. Write “To Do” Lists

To Do

If you write out a list of things you need to do every morning then the chances of you actually doing those things become astronomically better. Crossing off each task as you go will give you a sense of accomplishment, even if it's something as simple as doing the laundry. This will help you to become much more productive.

3. Create Goals

Create Goals

A life without goals is a life without purpose. Give yourself some direction and create a few goals for yourself. Always wanted to write a novel? Well that's your new goal. And it's not just enough to write down your goal, you should also write out how to are going to accomplish that goal. Even if you just write 200 words a day, by the end of the year you will have a 73,000 novel to send to a publisher.

4. Set Deadlines

Set Deadlines

Deadlines push us to complete tasks, without them it is far too easy to get away with doing nothing. Whatever your goal is you should start immediately AND set yourself a deadline to complete it. Let all your friends know about it and that all-important deadline. This will give you the impetus to complete the tasks necessary to complete your goal.

5. Never Stop Learning

Never Stop Learning

It doesn't matter if you're eighteen or eighty, an active mind keeps you young and motivated. Teach yourself new skills, pick up new hobbies, read at least one book a month – you never know when you'll come across something that will prove incredibly useful in the future. At the very worst you'll always have plenty to converse about with others.

6. Meditate

Meditate

Learn how to meditate and give yourself a ten or fifteen minute break every day to clear your mind. It's been proven that regular meditation improves intelligence, physical health, creativity and mental flexibility.

7. Reward Yourself

Reward Yourself

Every time you accomplish something it is important to give yourself a treat. Try and match it to the scale of your accomplishment for the best results. Get a promotion? Maybe it's time to finally book that dream holiday you always wanted...

I hope you take the time to implement these habits into your life. I can promise you you'll see a positive change in your life.
