5 Easy Ways To Overcome Laziness

People come up with all sorts of excuses to not get work done. Some say they’re busy doing other things, some say they aren’t feeling well and some say just don’t have the time. If one were to track the journey of human species keenly, one would realize that we’ve spent our entire existence trying to find easier ways to do things. Our own inventions coerce us to be lazy.

Who’ll walk if they have a car? Who’ll make calculations on their own when a computer can do it for them? As a society, we’ve been covertly promoting laziness. Now, one can’t do much that, but we can definitely address laziness in our personal lives.
If you have been super lazy and the pattern seems to not break, here are few great ways to tackle the laziness.

1. Start Early

1

Stop Going Within, Start Going Without

A full day is a lot of time to be lazing around. Lingering in bed is tempting, especially in those cold winter months. But those who wake up early and give themselves good time and space in the morning are generally not prone to laziness. They have time to become alert and get into the right mindset for the day very easily.

Of course, this means the old adage ‘Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise,’ actually works.
Never, ever, doubt the wisdom of old adages.

2. Start Small

2

Setting big, lofty goals is all very well. But going by the hundreds of failed New Year’s resolutions, having lofty goals doesn’t always work. As cliché as it sounds, take one step at a time. Start with a day, decide what you want to do, one thing at a time, to finish cleaning and reorganizing your closet, or your book-shelf, or something else.

You can then move on to larger goals slowly, like learning how to play an instrument or volunteering for that charity you admire.

3. Start Exercising

3

 Larger Perspective to Exercise

This can’t be emphasised enough. A good, vigorous exercise, say a run in the morning, will release those endorphins. And those who don’t know what endorphins do, well they dull the perception of pain and send a rush through you, making you feel energized and positive.

In short, you get all sorts of gooey, satisfied feelings. And yes, we’re talking about exercise. Nothing beats laziness like a good bout of exercise. If running is not your thing, try dancing! It’s like a double dose of good things. You get exercise, you have fun, and there’s music

4. Start Loving

                     4

Love is An Emotion

This is important. You need to start loving and living. Start doing things that give you pleasure and make you feel good, start talking to people you gel with, find new friends, find new hobbies, go trekking to remote places, anything whatsoever. Bring a sense of adventure and passion into your life and laziness will be a thing of the past

5. Start Getting Things Done

5

There will always be things you just don’t want to do. You’ll always have tasks that you find tedious. Best way to deal with them is just to press on through and get it done. The longer you wait, the most you’ll hate doing it. Just get it out of the way and move one to better things.

You’ll be glad for it.
